HOW TO INSTALL KALI-LINUX ON VMWARE :)
INSTALLING KALI -LINUX
Software Requirements
- Download kali-Linux ISO from http;//www.kali.org/downloads/
- Download VMware from https://my.vmware.com
- My Version is 10.0.1 build -1379776
To install on VMware follow the steps :-
STEP 1:-Open up VMware perform a right click and select New Virtual Machine
STEP 2:-Configuration - Custom

STEP 3:-If needed it can be setup for VMware backwards compatibility for older versions

STEP 4:-Choose to Install the Operating System Later.
STEP 5:-OS – Linux(Version - Ubuntu)
STEP 6:- Give a Virtual machine name
STEP 7:- Number of Processors - 1
STEP 8:- Memory – 1024 MB RAM
STEP 9:- NAT - NAT uses the host's own network resources to connect to the external network
STEP 10:- Controller – LSI Logic
STEP 11:-Disk Type - SCSI
STEP 12:- Create a New Virtual Disk
STEP 13:- Split into multiple files, can also be a single file depending on preferance
STEP 14:- Select Location to store the virtual file
STEP 15:- Summary of results and click Finish
STEP 16:- Virtual Machine Created and Listed on left panel
STEP 17:- Select Edit Virtual Machine
CD/DVD(SATA)
– Check ISO Image File and locate the downloaded Kali ISO file and OK.
STEP 18:- Select
Power on This Virtual Machine to run the Installation process
STEP 19:- Choose graphical Install
STEP 20:- Language preference
STEP 21:- Location preference
STEP 22:- Keyboard preference
STEP 23:-Hostname – As it is
STEP 24:- If Domain exists enter correctly
STEP 25:- Setup a desired Root Password
STEP 26:- Name of New User
STEP 27:- Name of New User
STEP 28:- Choose to Manually Partition Disks
STEP 29:- Overview of VMware currently configured Partitions
STEP 30:- Yes for new Partition
STEP 31:- Select Finish and Write to Disk
STEP 32:- Use Network Mirror for new versions of software – Yes
STEP 33:- Proxy configuration if needed
STEP 34:- Yes – Install GRUB boot loader
STEP 35:- Installation Complete .J
STEP 36:- After Installation is complete Kali Linux will start up
STEP 37:- Enter the password if set during configuration
